Buying online with RDG Tools is very simple. Just browse our Catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping basket. Once you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to compete the order.

We accept credit card payments, and payments by paypal. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your local currency. or pay using paypal, were you can transfer money direct in a number of currencies.

We accept most international credit cards and UK debit cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or over the Internet.

Due to the volume of parcels we ship we have negotiated special rates with our couriers. We have many international customers, recent destinations have included: United States, EU, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Brazil, Canada, Scandanavia, Belarus, Peru and Cyprus. As a basic guide depending on the weight and size and destination of your consignment we will ship according to the following rules.

1. In the UK: We would generally ship parcels of less than 1.5 Kg using the Royal Mail, parcels of between 1.5 Kg and 70 Kg are generally shipped via dpd.co.uk on a next / 2 day service (uk only). Parcels/Pallets over 70 Kg are normally shipped by palletways but on a 1-3 day service. We can ship upto 4 ton whithin the uk, Please email for details.
2. In the EU we will generally ship via royalmail or dpd.co.uk depending upon weight.
3. Outside the EU: We would use dpd.co.uk as our first choice, we also use Parcelforce depending on the destination.

Provided your goods are in stock, we aim to process and ship the same day. We ship most parcels via DPD at 2PM Monday to Friday, and every evening with the Royal Mail, Parcelforce, If your consignment misses these cut-offs it will ship the following working day.

In the UK you can expect to recieve the goods whithin 1-2 working days. For shipments outside the UK contact us for more precise information, typically 3 to 5 days in the EU and 7 to 12 days in the US (via Airmail). If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed within 24 hours and the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. If you are a VAT registered business within the EU (except the UK) You should email me your order number and your VAT number so your refund can be done and your invoice changed . We may request seperate confirmation of your details prior to payment processing and subsequent shipment. All orders outside the EU are VAT free.

We guarantee that all of our products are manufactured to the high standards that our customers expect. However we cannot be held responsible for the consequences of missuse or incorrect operation of any of these products. The information we collect

RDG Tools Online uses your personal information to process any enquiry and/or order you transmit or send to us and additionally for internal administration and analysis. We do not pass any information to other companies whatsoever. We do not sell, rent, trade or give away any of your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

As required by the Data Protection Act 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given us to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures may involve a request for proof of identify before we are able to disclose sensitive information with you.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Cookies are small files we can send to your browser and which are stored on your computer's hard drive. The computer will store an identifying code in the Cookie which means you do not need to type in your address each time you place an order. In order for a Cookie to be used in this way, you must enable it by ticking the box on the relevant page. Other than this, we do not store your address or any other information in the Cookie, or use it for any other purpose.

Any customer can return their purchase within 7 working days after receipt of the goods, providing that the product has not been used and remains in it's original unopened manufacturer's packaging . Returned goods which do not adhere to this will be rejected. Customers will be refunded for their purchase by cheque less the return delivery charges incurred in the transaction. The 7 day period does not start until the day after receipt of the goods by the customer.

Due to recent paypal regulation changes any Paypal refunds that are out of our control will have a 3% Paypal fee deducted from the total order value including shipping and VAT.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.

The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.

RDG Tools Online is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.

For example, if a customer bought a new EEE (ie a small compressor) from us we would accept their old WEEE (compressor) and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. "The customer YOU will pay all shipping cost's for returning the item to me for disposal". Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.
